I believe counseling is meant to be a place where you can show up exactly as you are- without having to have everything figured out. Life can be messy, relationships can be complicated, and sometimes the experiences we have been through leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves or unsure of how to move forward. I am a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Denver Seminary and have completed clinical practicum. My hope is to create a warm, authentic, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel seen, heard, supported, and safe as we explore the experiences that have shaped your life while discovering new ways to move forward.
I especially enjoy working with women, individuals who have experienced trauma, and couples navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, identity, and disconnection. I recognize that people often come to counseling carrying both visible struggles and deeper stories beneath them. My goal is to meet clients with curiosity and compassion while helping them better understand themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that may no longer be serving them.
My approach to counseling is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing from Existential Therapy, Psychodynamic, Family Systems, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and other evidence-based approaches based on each client’s individual needs. I particularly value existential work because it creates space to explore meaning, purpose, freedom, responsibility, relationships, and what it means to live an authentic and fulfilling life. I also incorporate practical skills from DBT and CBT to help clients navigate difficult emotions, challenge unhelpful patterns, strengthen relationships, and develop healthier ways of coping.
I believe that healing happens within the context of a safe and genuine therapeutic relationship. Rather than approaching counseling as a place where someone needs to be “fixed,” I view therapy as a collaborative process of understanding, growth, healing, and discovering greater freedom in how we relate to ourselves and others.
Before pursuing counseling, I spent many years working in marketing, sales, and entrepreneurship. These experiences, along with clinical training, have shaped my appreciation for the complexity of people’s stories and many roles, relationships, successes, losses, and transitions that influence who we become.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time outdoors, mountain biking, rock climbing, exploring the mountains, and spending time with my son. I stive to bring that same appreciation for authenticity, connection, adventure, and growth into my work with clients.
